Papa Town's Mommy’s Friend comfrey salve is a soothing salve packed with all-natural ingredients, designed with pregnant and nursing women in mind. It is the same formula as our original Papa Town’s comfrey salve, except we left out the sage and wintergreen essential oils. We chose to leave out these two ingredients because sage essential oil, in large and concentrated amounts, has been known to dry up breast milk. Wintergreen essential oil has blood thinning properties, so it is not recommended during pregnancy. Many positive testimonials have been attributed to our salve’s effectiveness on various skin disorders and muscle-joint issues. It contains allantoin, a naturally occurring substance in comfrey known for promoting the growth and regeneration of new cells.
